Kappa Carcia I
Lava planet in the Kappa Carcia System, which is jointly owned by the Sulethis Republic and Tranal Nomads.
On this planet is one of the very few, and first, mining installation of the Tranal Nomads. The system is mobile, allowing them to construct semi-permanent structures on the planets in the system as well as stations. The TN takes in large volumes of lava and separates it into useful metals before use. This technology was provided to them by the Sulethis Republic.
The TN was very impressed with the sheer quantity of materials they could make from mining here. As such, the experimental star system is proving to be sucessful. The TN has not even begun core extraction operations yet.
Rather than making use of Graviton Wave Refraction to reduce the gravity of the mining facilities, they used that technology in the various PPE suits of the Banfranal to make them unaffected by gravity. This way, both 0g and gravity-dependent species can survive on the same station together without use of HF style Cybernetic Enhancements - which the TN don't have. This means however that any banfranal (or other 0g species) would have to constantly wear the PPE to survive on the world, even when sleeping or outside of work hours. This has had a negative impact on morale.
Although the TN don't place a significant population on this world for this reason, as well as safety, they have a lot of relatively advanced mining technology.
The planet imports hydrogen as fusion reactor fuel. It requires a lot of hydrogen to remain operational but exports almost every metal the TN requires.
The planet is known to have a particularly powerful magnetosphere due to its very active and metallic core. This has been known to mess with equipment a few times, but is not a significant factor.
