Medic

In the street lingo of many psionist groups, a Medic is a psychic who has some limited healing powers, such as Healing Touch, but is more well rounded with other powers.   Many teams that have to go into situations that call for a limited number of people often take Medics instead of full Healers in order to provide a broader range of skills. But in situations where more casualties are expected, it is usually better to have a fully experienced Healer on your side.
There isn't a specific power or set of powers that are prerequisites for being called a psionic Medic. However, Medics don't take on more than one or two of the following powers, and use powers from other skill sets to be more rounded and versatile. Most of these powers are similar to that of a Healer, except for the Healing power (otherwise the psychic is considered a Healer).   A couple of other powers a Medic might find useful are mild applications of Cryokinesis or Pyrokinesis, to apply icing or gentle heat for their patients. Also Resist Fatigue can come in handy when casualties are high, or Suppress Fear when the patient might have something like a fear of needles.   Another helpful power to have around is the Bio-metapsionic Increased Healing. This power makes more sense for a Medic than a Healer since it doubles the healing ability. But like a Healer, anyone who has it in conjunction with a power like Healing Touch doesn't get much benefit from it. It would be more practical for the Medic to try to acquire the Healing skill. On the other hand, as a general support person, it's not uncommon for a Medic to work with a Healer and provide support using the boost.

Offense & Defense

Most Medics, like Healers and doctors, are dedicated towards healing and curing illness. Many actually take the Hippocratic Oath and work in the mainstream medical field. But with the danger of being a Psychic from many fronts, including governmental, supernatural, and even from other psionists, there are a few harmful and offensive powers some Healers employ:
