Cosue

Celestial Entities

The Cosue are divine beings or entities that were created by the Ynue, sometimes with the aid of other, and sometimes with the aid of Yanu himself, but they all came later than the Ynue. The Cosue can all be seen in the sky, although none of them are present constantly. They are deities just as much as the Ynue and their divine origins grant them great power and influence over all life and the very structure of magic. The frequency at which they can be seen varies greatly per type of Cosue.

Solaris

The greatest of the Cosue, Solaris, is the shining light that creates the day. He was created at the insistence of Killian, who wished to create an eternal source of light for the world and its inhabitants. Under the guidance of Geldor, her vision was realized. Solaris was still created from the essence of Yanu tho, with some input from Killian herself. Solaris is generally called Sol, and the sun is his visible body.   The length of the days varies over the year, with the shortest in the winter, and the longest in the summer, but if you take the average duration of day and night over the year, they will be equal, this is caused by the touch of Geldor.   It is believed that the sun that shines upon our world, is the same that lights up Nova, the realm of Killian. Because Sol is a God itself, a piece of Yanu, and by extension, the Source itself, it can transcend boundaries between worlds, such as that between Yanu's world, and those of the Ynue, particularly, the Ynue that gave him birth, this is also because Yanu never specifically banished any of the Cosue.

Lunaris

Lunaris was created to be the opposite to the sun, She was created on the insistence of Geldor, when Killian created Sol. Luna, is the guardian of the night, she is the Shepard of darkness, a way to guide people through the shadow. The moon is the visible body of Luna.   On one of the Yfnars tangents, he decided it would be funny to make the moon vanish, and over the course of the next weeks, he chipped small slices off her body, and hid it, until, after mere days, she was completely gone. Or invisible, because Lunaris was still there, she was just invisible now. Obviously, this angered Geldor, and she made Yfnar put Luna back in the sky, which he did, one slice at a time, over the same time period as it had taken him to make her disappear. From that day forth, the moon would wax and wane, just as Yfnar had made it. Geldor tried to reverse this but was unsuccessful, as Yfnars magic proved too strong.   Each lunar cycle takes 29 and a half days.

Mekharis

Mekharis was created by Mallakar with the aid of many of the other Ynue in order to Contain the Sanue, who had opposed them during their rebellion, he was created before they were banished by Yanu, and his power could not be undone before the destruction of Mallakar is complete, as to destroy Mekharis, is to destroy Mallakar himself. The only one with the potential to do such a thing would be Yanu himself, but that would require him to fully regain his sentience. Mekharis is also called the red moon.   Mekharis is as much a living being as Mallakar, his twin, the lord of prisons. Mekharis is as sentient as his creator and master, but his energy is spent on keeping the Sanue imprisoned. Mekharis exists mostly in his own realm, called Delimination, but his prison, the red moon that is Mekharis' body, phases in and out of the world of Yanu on occasion, which is why Mekharis is usually not visible.   The ebb and flow of Mekharis is infrequent, and it is influenced by the powers of the Sanue trapped within it, and it is called the Mekharis cycle. This event usually lasts between seven to twelve days, and the periods between Mekharis cycles vary even greater. The shortest recorded time between cycles is four months, but the longest was nearly ten years. on average there are around six years between each cycle.   These Mekharis cycles are periods of increased Ynue activity, as Mekharis pulls his prison back into Delimination, this causes all dark magics to be greatly strengthened. This boosts the strength of Vampires and werewolves, as well as all the other creatures who originally gained their power from one of the Ynue. It also weakens the barrier between the world of Yanu, and the worlds of the Ynue, which is why demons are able to enter the world freely, where they usually require assistance to leave Mallakar's Nether realm. demons are also able to sustain themselves off Nether energy for the duration of the cycle, allowing them to stay indefinitely.   The barrier between worlds weakens as the moon appears, and regains its strength as the moon fades, until they are separated once more. It takes approximately two and a half days for Mekharis to fully appear, or disappear, demons are only able to enter the world when it has fully arrived, but they can continue until the moon has gone completely.

Stellarae

The official name of the stars is Stellarae. They were created by Lyssaab, they are her children, they were created to give guidance the her worldly followers, they can be used to navigate, and they can grant great wisdom to those who know how to read them. It is said that when a star falls from the sky, one of the Stellarae comes to the earth, and their power comes to Lyssaab's followers. All of the Stellarae have names, although only the brightest few are known to the people of the world.   The stellarae are only partially sentient, but it is said that they commune with those who hold their power, not with worlds, but with feelings, and ideas. Each star is unique both in appearance and in the abilities they grant. It is said the brighter the star appears in the night sky, the stronger the powers it grants.
