Yanu

One of the Many

Yanu is a child of the multiverse. At the beginning of time, the source, and eternal and infinite piece of energy and power was home to one world, and it was massive, but it proved to big for itself, and it shattered and split into a million and one shards, one of whom is named Yanu.
Yanu was once a semi-sentient god, who, knowing his limitations, created many helpers, who had greater sentience, and therefore greater ability to actively shape the world according to his image. He did this by splitting pieces off himself, creating smaller, but still powerful beings, he called the Ynue.
And that is how it all started, these events gave rise to many wars, conflicts, creations, and destructions.
Eventually, Yanu was betrayed by the Ynue, to whom he had given birth, and he was robbed of what remained of his sentience, and forced into hiding. He still has a small sliver left, but most of his energy is focused on keeping the full forms of the Ynue out of his realm, even tho he will never be rid of their influence fully.

While the Ynue are banished from the world of Yanu, they are pieces of him, and therefore they will be forever bound to him, unable to escape, and unable to re-enter.

All the realms of the Ynue are connected intimately, because while there is a barrier keeping them out of the world of Yanu, there is no such Barrier keeping them from each other.
The people of this world have long since forgotten their creator, they don't remember or recognize the name Yanu, and each civilization has developed its own interpretation of what divine power first gave them life, although they all agree that the Ynue were the original inhibitors, who were banished, or left the world for some reason.
