Lyssaab

The Lady of the Night

Lyssaab is the mistress of shadow, and all activities that take place in the dark corners of the world shielded from the light. She is often affectionately named Lady Lyss, by those who follow her. She is the patron of all nightly activities, and those shunned and forgotten by the world, such as thieves, beggars, prostitutes, and assassins. Many pay her homage, as only the foolish would seek to offend her. Her name is whispered in hushed tones, as the upper classes of the world would capture and hang, or otherwise punish anyone who they suspect of treating with this Ynue. She has the ability to grant fortunes to those who blend in with the shadows and seek her favor. When pleased with her followers, she will make them "lucky". However, she is both generous and capricious, and if one fails to pay her homage properly, she may turn against them instead.

Following

Those who are in her personal service are named night watchers. They are always anonymous and wear masks when conducting their business. They often know each other's identity, however. She usually only deals with a few at a time. They can be from any branch of her following and they are often recruited by other members of this organization, although she always has to approve new members and she may reject them if she deems them unfit. This is of course done before they are aware of what they are being considered for, lest this anonymous order ceases to be anonymous.   She offers many such contracts to her followers, the nigh watchers are simply the most organized and infamous of her contracted followers. There are many who receive an individual contract, as she promises to help them on their journey in life. In return, upon their death, they will serve her for an equal time. These Spirits are tasked with guarding her hidden temples, and their service is essential to her ability to maintain influence in the world.

Stellarae

Lyssaab is one of the few Ynue, who granted a piece of her power to create new beings, called Cosue, and her are named the stars, they are her way of granting power to her followers. It is said that when a star falls, it's because a contract was signed with Lyssaab, and this star is what grants her followers their power. Each star is different, and each star grants unique abilities.

Temples

Due to her dark nature, all buildings dedicated to her worship are well hidden, often underground, behind secret doors, or in hidden cellars, most of these are personal altars, made for the use of small thieving bands, or assassins, but there are larger temples. These shrines were built long ago, to appease the night mistress, and to this day they stand strong, protected, and maintained by her favorite servants, such as the night watchers, but not exclusively.

Nachta

Upon death, contracted spirits enter Lyssaab's realm, her home, Nachta. It is a place of everlasting night, lit only by stars. It has a bare, mountainous terrain, with a single palace in the center, where new arrivals are received, and sent back to the world, where they are assigned to specific temples to guard.

Influence

Lyssaab is responsible for the creation of the moon, along with Geldor, and she is also the one who filled the sky with stars. She is one of the most widely followed Ynue, and it is all because she caters to the most marginalized and shunned portions of the world's population, and this is also why there are many instances where her presence has influenced major world events.

Overlord

Lyssaab, despite being one of the most hated by the worlds ruling and middle class, is one of the least bad to be the follower of, she is generally reasonable, and wont keep your soul locked in a cage forever, even if you make a mistake or offend her, in the worst case scenario, she will pelt you with bad luck for a few weeks, to teach you a lesson, but ultimately, she cares for those who dedicate themselves to her.
