Chronicles - Pre-History

These are the times before people started to count the years, for many of these eras, it is unknown how long they lasted for, these are the ancient times relegated to myth and legend, as no one now lives who still remembers them, nor are their writings of them. The Years of the Ynue

Creation

In the beginning, there was only Yanu, and when he first breathed life into his shard, it was barren and empty, it was a world of rock and sand, with the occasional puddle of water to decorate its surface.

The Ynue

To aid him in the development of his new world, Yanu created to Ynue, he took pieces of his own power, pieces of the source itself, and gave them life. He called them, the Ynue.
Their purpose was to make the world beautiful, and diverse, to make it ready for truly living beings to exist there. It wasn't long before they asked of Yanu aid, they claimed to need servants, to aid them in their work, and Yanu obliged, creating the Onu, whose purpose would be a wide variety of maintenance and service to the Ynue. The Ynue worked hard, they changed many things about the world, filling it with plants and many basic creatures, they flooded the oceans, and raised mountain ranges, as well as guided the seasons into place, and organizing the weather, and it wasn't long before the world was a lush and vibrant place, full of constantly evolving cycles of life, and biospheres made up of many different creatures. Yanu even gave them permission to create predatory beings, when it became apparent that populations would run rampant when left alone, and they would overpopulate and eat whole forests before dying to mass famine. killer creatures were Yanu's solution.

Mystics

It was a few centuries before the end of the years of Ynue that The Mystics were created, they were Yanu's first successful creation of sentient life. They were long living and beautiful, with them, came the discovery of magic, it is unknown if yanu created this for them, or if it existed before, and they were the first to gain access to it, but they were magical beings, each with their own magical potential.

Betrayal

At the end of these years, the Ynue rebelled against Yanu, opposing his authority, and demanding he cease his rightful lordship of this realm, but alas, while Yanu was greatly weakened after their creation, he was still able to banish them, he sent them out of the shard, although they are still stuck to it, the formed their own mini shards, where they reside still, unable to return to Yanu's world. This series of events were later known as the Yue Wars, and their impact can be felt on the earth to this day.

The Years of the Mystics

It was in these years, after the banishment of the Ynue, that the world was dominated by the mystic races. These were quite millennia, marked by the slow, steady marching of time. It saw the flourishing of the natural world, settling in the environment created by the Ynue This era of history is estimated to have lasted around five thousand years.

Corporeals

It was during the years of the Mystics that, with his final breath, Yanu created The Corporeals, he gave them his final sentience and then retreated into the cosmos, where his energy then solely focused on keeping the Ynue out of his world.

Bloodborne

It was towards the end of the mystic ages, that the first Vampire was created by Mallakar.

The Stone Age

in less than on thousand years after creation, the humans already outnumbered the mystics in the world. However, they were still a nomadic hunter-gatherer people, using simple stone and flint tools. Mystics still experienced great strife tho, as the corporeals saw them as a threat to their prosperity, and they were hunted and pursued across the continent during this time, the marnwood still reached the Yavin river, and what is now the Yavinian plain was fought over by human and elven tribes without fail, as the stone age progressed, the forest retreated, and the humans came out on top. many elves stayed behind tho, and those are now known as the grass elves. The Stone Age is estimated to have lasted anywhere from ten to twenty thousand years.

Anmye

As the elves moved into the modern age, ruled by agriculture, and for them, the domestication of various fruit, vegetable, and nut trees, they became an increasingly settled society, and they found a need to be able to travel across their river with greater speeds, if they wanted to trade with their neighbors, and it was because of this that they were the main pioneers of travel over water, which quickly led to them leaving their ever behind, and taking to the seas, and it wasn't long before one of their modest river barges drifted to a new land, one they would call Trianmye, the first of many new landmasses that they would soon discover, and settle.

Orcs

While the elves were pushed out of the western plains, there were still populations of elves living in the central mountains, now called black rock, it was during the stone age that these populations, one by one, fell prey to the meddling of the Ynue, and were turned into what are now the three races of Orcs, and later, Goblins.

Molten Metal

Different peoples left the Stone Age behind at their own pace, but the Dwarves were the first to settle, and learn to melt metals, creating the first bronze pots tools. As knowledge of this spread across the continent, the world entered a new era.

Bronze Age

It was during these years that tribes shifted from using stone and flint tools to casting them from molten metal, leading to the discovery of bronze, this was made possible by bronze plows, increasing farming productivity, and made necessary for the same reason, nomadic tribes had much more trouble making their own metals, and were consistently defeated by settled peoples. Thus it was during the bronze age, that the first tribal kingdoms started to form.

Eshen Dray

About three thousand years into the bronze age, The Eshen Dray were one of the greatest empires the world had seen, there had been previous empires, that had risen and fallen, but the nation they built laid the foundation for many nations that came after them. They encompassed all of modern westingham, and surrounding lands, even pushing into dwarven and elvish territory, unifying much of the Western world, their realm only stayed intact for a few generations, before collapsing under infighting, but during these times, they established themselves as one of history's most influential powers.

Yavinian Calendar

One of the Eshen dray's most memorable act was the invention of the Yavinian calendar, which is still used to this day, and they took the founding of the Eshen dray, or the crowning of the first Dreyech emperor, as year 0, and thus, this calendar was created in the year 12.
