Serenity

Serenity is one of the farming districts on Carengar . It is primarily responsible for growing root vegetables for the orbital stations at Sechler. There is some trade within the various districts as the others specialize in animals for consumption, dairy, poultry, and fruits.

Demographics

Many of the farmers are workers from the depot at Sechler who are desiring or required to serve some shore time away from the orbital stations. They are paid their normal salaries as long as they spend no more than 4 months per year farming and agree to the length of employment in their contract. Some farmers are professional farmers, while others are itinerant laborers who, for various reasons, just need a job in a relatively out of the way area. The Rural population are permanent residents and generally either own or rent the farms and land. The urban population is mostly made up of transient workers along with the infastructure to support them in the area.
