The Valley

Home to three villages and surrounded by high cliffs and mountains known as The Walls. The Valley is a cold, but liveable land. There is no known escape over The Walls surrounding the land, but those that live there don't feel the need to, as there is enough to live off if you are willing to put in a bit of hard work.

Geography

Surrounded by high cliffs and walls. Filled with hills and forests with only a little flat land. The river Vita used to run down the north face of the surrounding cliffs and cut through the land to the otherside. But after The Breaking the river dried up.
In the north west is Mount Anata which forms a part of The Walls. A cold harsh landscape, that sits high above the rest of The Valley, home to the village of Darnell. Deinonychus hunt their prey amongst the snow.
In the north east is the Forest Bian, with giant trees, it surrounds the village Naia. Brachiosaurus eat from the high canopies here.
In the south east are the wind swept Tavora hills, home to the village of Cardian. Parasaurolophus roam and graze on the fields.
In the south west are the desolate Slabs, offering little in the way of life.

The Villages of The Valley

Each led by their Elder, the residents work hard to feed themselves, while sustaining The Valley's resources. More on the villages found in The Valley can be viewed here.

Localized Phenomena

A strange White Obelisk can be found in the village of Darnell which provides warmth. And the residents of Naia are visited by spirits who bring simple foods to those living there. These phenomenas however are seen as ordinary and normal to those who live in The Valley.

Climate

The Valley is a cold climte, largely due to The Wall blocking out much sunlight. Mist often fills the valley, and snow falls during winter. Even The Slabs, despite the sandy colour suggesting warmer temperatures, is deceptively cold.

Fauna & Flora

Many animals you would expect to see in this land are present. Some dinosaurs are also present which occassionally attack, but locals can often drive them off when this occurs. Though there are no horses, the word is not even known to the locals.

Natural Resources

There is plenty of wildlife and wood. Though minerals and metals are much more limited. Fish live in the river running through the centre, though the locals are careful to keep the population alive and limit fishing activities.

History

Not much is known, even to the locals, about the history of this land. Many locals generally believe that they have always just lived in The Valley in perpetuity.
