The White Obelisk

In the center of Darnell is a 3ft. white obelisk that emits a large amount of heat. Residents use it as a meeting point, for traditional events, and the Festival of Restoration when it is held in Darnell.
Residents gather a large amount of coal around the obelisk to heat them up, and then bring them into their homes to warm them.

Rumors

• It is rumored the obelisk used to be bigger, and people have taken a piece, or multiple pieces.
• The residents of Darnell are secretly drawing out power from the obelisk so they can rule over The Valley.
• The obelisk is a dead Elder, who used their connection to the land to create this source of heat.
• A kid touched the obelisk once, and was instantly incinerated.
