The Valley
Surrounded by huge cliffs and mountains known as The Wall, The Valley is home to people who know nothing else than this 60 odd kilometer stretch of land. So much so, that the word "valley" is more akin to the word "world".
The inhabitants have not only never left The Valley, but most never considered that there is more beyond the believed impassable mountains and cliffs. All stories of trying to traverse The Wall that these folk know say that they all turned back.
How did these folk come to live here?
Is there really no way out?
What else is out there?
Most folk never grapple with these questions. But perhaps that is for the best.
Because the people here are happy, living off the land in peace with each other. You will find the thosand odd residents spread across three villages each led by an Elder.
You will find them living in 16th century style european housing. And while some fabrics are to be found, most wear furs and hides you might see in more tribal communities.
Their culture is also a strange mix more civilised communites and tribal beliefs and structures.
The climate is cold, with mist often filling the valley, and the cliff's shadows leave less opportunity for the sun to warm one's hands, especially in winter's snow.
