Deinonychus
The Deinonychus in The Valley are dinosaurs. They live on Mount Anata, and have thick fur to survive the cold weather.
They hunt and eating smaller prey like rabbits and foxes.
Occasionally they get close to the village of Darnell and can even be aggressive, when this happens, the locals usually have to kill a few of them in order to drive away the rest of the Deinonychus. Usually the locals are only left with cuts, bruises and the occasional scar.
Basic Information
Anatomy
It is half the height of the average human, though as much as 3 meters in length. Fur lines it's body, along with feathered arms. Teeth line it's deadly jaws.
Ecology and Habitats
These dinosaurs survive in cold climtes, favouring Mount Anata.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They are carnivours, hunting small prey in packs. Though occassionally may hunt creatures of comparable size if they can get their target alone.
Behaviour
Fairly aggressive, especially if they haven't eaten. Unlike other villages, guards of Darnell more often have to kill Deinonychus than they are able to drive them away.
