The Strange Book & Father Tossil
Fleec and Edward the Monk travels back to Frankia. There they have the option of destroying the book, handing it over to de Reis, informing the authorities, or taking it to Father Tossil.
Plot points/Scenes
Fleec & Edward the Monk go to Parisius and where they are met by Martine Sacha. From there they can get help as far as Eschbach. Father Tossil is there to meet up with Grimmaz. They are informed it is the small town / village that Grimmaz is from originally and he is on the way back.
Father Tossil will explain that the book is known as a Configuration, made with elements of Leviathan's flesh, and used to summon Librarian Stitchscar. It is bound in the skin of her first victim before she was turned into a Cenobite by Leviathan. It contains vellum from her first victim as a Cenobite, and if destroyed she will try to bond with another Configuration if one is available. Other than that she will try to find other ways into the world.
It is also mentioned that much of the magic that was used in the construction lies deep under the Mediterranean in the Black Pyramid and rumour has it both the Yuan-Ti, and a white dragon, at present looking access to this place just north of Alexandria. The white dragon was reported to be called Birgin the Winter Storm and last seen around Aachen gaining a black dragon scale with a white pearl, black pearl, and a ruby mounted on it. He also has a red dragon scale as well.
The only way to successfully destroy it is to burn it in a sacred fire. Which sacred fire is unknown though it is meant to be one that has positive religious connotations. That does not guarantee complete destruction as it may return at some point in the future.
Alternatively if they had it in to the authorities, they can potentially have de Reis arrested and tried. His family will be left alone though including his young son.
If kept he will try to get it of Fleec. If placed in or on hallowed ground it cannot ever leave it while there. To leave it as such it cannot be used, and temporarily blocks Stitchscar from being summoned.
