Taygete
The Capital City of Lacedaemon is divided over the two major continents, Eurydice and Tiasa, with the Strait of Amyclas between separating them. There are a number of small islands between the two sides that are also part of the city.
The city doesn’t cover the entire continents, just the immediate area around the Strait of Amyclas, plus the islands in between. The area footprint of the city, land only, is just over 20,000 km2.
On the Eurydice side you find Mt. Eurotas with the Royal Palace of Lacedaemon at the top, as well as the Parliament and the office and residence of the Prime Minister. On the Tiasa side you find the Mayor and the City Council, and the inhabitants on each side constantly mock each other as they think they’ve got the better side, while the islanders sneer at both sides.
