Minoan Museum Maze

The Minoan Museum Maze covers approximately one square kilometer, the entire eastern half of Boulder Island in Aeolus City.

The museum was originally the Consulate for Minos Gamma and the maze was part of the Consulate property, as part of their tradition of keeping alive the mythological story of the maze at the Palace of Knossos, on the island of Crete, on Earth, along with the myth of the Minotaur and Theseus. This is why there’s a twelve meter tall statue of a Minotaur in the center of the maze. The maze is paved with flat stones, with some steps, which are mostly there to adapt to the natural terrain of the island. The maze is also stone walls, rather than hedges, and the walls are plastered and painted beige/sand, and has crimson crenellations that looks a bit like the bull horns, just like the crenellations that can be found at Knossos, on Earth.

When the civilization on Minos Gamma collapsed the Consulate and the maze were taken over by a non-profit foundation, run by former Minoan nationals, to keep the memory of their home world alive, and warn others against irresponsible bankers like the ones that caused the economic collapse on their planet. The foundation still exists two centuries later, and is run by the descendants of those who started it.
