Hercules Thompson High School
The High School in Myrtle’s Beach is named after Hercules Thompson, the self-aggrandizing wannabe explorer blowhard, whose only “accomplishment” was to name Lake Nuwattah-Nuwattah, just before jumping to his death, and even then he only named the lake that because he didn’t hear what his lover was shouting at him.
The school got its name before everybody knew what a moron Hercules Thompson was. Instead of changing the name of the school the faculty takes every opportunity to teach the students not to be like Hercules Thompson.
The school always take part in the annual regatta on Lake Nuwattah-Nuwattah, with their own yacht and student team. The high school team almost always wins the race.
Even as Mayor of Myrtle's Beach Rachel Wienerbacher has kept her position as Principal of the high school.
