Egyptian Worlds Territory

In reality the national territory of a planet only extends far enough to include any ships and satellites in geostationary orbit. In rare cases it includes the planet’s moons. Anything beyond that is International Space. In other words, calling a region Egyptian, Mayan, Mesopotamian/Sumerian, or Hellenistic Territory is inaccurate, as the vast majority of the galaxy is unclaimed space. There are regions of the galaxy where the majority of the inhabited planets there are either Egyptian or Hellenistic and so on. So the Egyptian Worlds Territory is the part of the galaxy where the worlds are inhabited by descendants of the Ancient Egyptians who travelled into space and colonized worlds.

Wait.... how did this world come to be as it is (as in the whole galaxy, not just this planet)? Because atm it's looking like Earth-based ancient civilizations all went to the stars, and that's awesome. Does Earth even exist here?

The backstory is that several ancient Earth civilizations developed interstellar travel and went out into the galaxy and settled on habitable worlds there. Each civilization that did this brought all the technology for space travel with them, so only those advanced enough to develop interstellar travel themselves could follow. This also meant that lots of humans stayed behind on Earth. Our planet is still there, and developing normally. The people out in the galaxy are aware of Earth, and some even visits Earth, but they are careful not to let anyone on Earth know that there’s humans out in the galaxy. One character has at least one contact on Earth who provides him with pop culture from Earth, mostly movies and the occasional TV show.

Me likey. Wait but then how did their civilizations fall if they had space civilizations backing them up? Unless they were like "lmao who needs a foothold on Earth when we've got the Set-Osiris system? Just evacuate the people who actually matter in those civilizations and leave the rest to rot."/"SECRECY IS KEY NO INTERFERING!"

Yeah, pretty much what you said. Those that left Earth didn’t look back. Also, there are other star systems where Egyptians settled, but I haven’t created any articles for them yet. I did come up with an Egyptian made type of spaceship, called a Scarab, for the novel I'm working on, and mentioned in passing that it’s manufactured on Thoth, but I haven’t written anything else about Thoth yet.

Awesome. Thoth sounds interesting. Since the storky lad's supposed to be the god of knowledge are we getting a machine-heavy world, a literature/philosophy heavy world, a mixture or neither?
