Man-O-War

The Man-O-War, also known as a star moth, is a spelljamming vessel built and used by the Imperial Elven Navy (IEN). Its design is also the primary symbol of the IEN, who use the golden shilloutte of the Man-O-War on a green background as their standard.

Description

Similar to most IEN spelljamming vessels, the Man-O-War resembles a large spacefaring butterfly.
The Man-O-War's "head" is a weapon's platform for multiple front-facing weapons. Behind the head is the bridge and the location of the spelljamming helm. Behind the bridge is a large open space, domed with a glass ceiling. This space was designed to aid in the Man-O-War's versatility and can serve as a garden, a cargo bay, a hangar, a barracks, or more. Past this free space are the officer quarters and above the quarters the flight deck for Flitters.
On the main deack of the ship, beneath the bridge, are the quarters for the rank-and-file and guests, as welll as the brig.
The lowest deck is on the opposite gravity plane of the upper deck and contains the observation deck, galley, mess hall, and mage quarters, if applicable.

Uses

The versatility of the Man-O-War means that it serves a variety of roles in and out of combat. Today, Man-O-Wars serve as deep range patrol ships, light carriers, troop transports, cargo haulers, or even command crafts when an Armada isn't available. Rarely, elven priests may convert Man-O-Wars into mobile temples by which they can spread word of the Seldarine.
Similar to other IEN vessels, possession of a Man-O-War by non-elves or non-IEN organizations is punishable by death for both the user and procurer of the vessel.

Weapons & Armament

Man-O-Wars are very heavily armored craft, boasting on average 3 catapults, 4 medium ballistas, and a jettison, all of which can be modified as needed. Additionally, Man-O-Wars often serve as carriers for Flitters, which can protect the ship or act as fast-moving strike craft.
