Everybody has a song inside waiting to be free! - The Sing Beans, Chowder
Ah, Music, the one thing you find everywhere; some love it, some hate and some have a certain one that they can never get out of their head no matter how hard they try. But like most cultures, music often defines a society and a generation for people to gather and listen or dance to it. This is why I have decided to create a nice little challenge because why not and March seemed to be a good place to start since it rhymes so well. So here we are with a nice challenge that is off the books and no pressure that needs to be added.
The whole idea is to create a song of any kind that fits into your, and it can be anything from a balled to a nursy rhythm, even any genre of music that you can think of to allow for a greater understanding of your world and the cultures around it. Allowing readers to get a better immersion of what represents your ideas and that of your world. I can only hope this will not get out of hand and cause a war over music or, worse, copyright infringement because those record companies can be brutal. Anyhow, let's all be civilized, enjoy ourselves, and chill since you came here for the music. Now If you look down below, you will find everything you need to get your house in order.
The Precious
Now you may be wondering about what you will be getting out of this if you win this challenge, chocolate, tickets to a concert, or maybe a shiny new badge that you will forget in a few weeks, hmmm. Well, I will tell you all about it when it ends, and anyone who joins will be a winner in my books because we all need to win sometime; I know I do. As long as you show some effort, you will find your seat at the table, shout out, and think about it; you can brag about your mad music-making skill to your friends or beat down your enemies with salty poems if you want.
So have a go and see where you will get as a result.
Da Rules
- Articles must be dated during the challenge!
- The article must be public and published. Only one can be done per person!
- Use the Generic Article or Prose.
- To make things easier for everybody, I want it to be in English to let everyone enjoy the songs as much as possible. However, you can still do it in any other language since all know how catchy it can be in a language we can't understand.
- No minimum, no maximum! ( Just do let it drag on for too long).
- There will be nothing racial or bigotry in the song, but mark your work as NSFW or give a warning if necessary to ensure that everyone does not feel uncomfortable as music is a subjective form of art, so respect people's opinions.
- Place your article in the comments and the challenge article in your article to spread the word.
- Must be sent by March 31 before Midnight!
Aftermath
Well, it's been a month, and I have to say that I'm not surprised by the lack of entries. The reason why is because of the fact is that writing a poem or a song is a lot harder than one might think. But at least some people could send in their work, and they did pretty well in expressing their creative ideas. As for now, I will be learning from this and trying to improve my overall selections for a challenge to something that others might be easier to write for. As for the competitors, here's your badge for an excellent job till next time.
I'm not the best at song writing or poetry, but I suppose I'll give it a shot! The article will most likely look like poetry since I don't have the equipment to make an actual song, I hope that's okay.
That's fine, the whole idea was just to create lyrics or poems or anything really.
A Cave Called Doubt My article submission for Musical March. Thanks for doing this challenge I had so much fun coming up with this!
