Polymen

Described by some as a "hot-rock world," Polymen is the fourth planet in the Thorhil star system and was an almost uninhabitable rock even before the Fall. Polymen is tidally locked with Thorhil at 1.8 AU and although it has a thin atmosphere, enough remains to trap heat on the sunward side of the planet while leaving the dark side of the planet inhospitably cold.
When the male exodus from Hartika Rita took place just after the Scream, they constructed a network of living facilities combining a hybridization of surface-dome structures and undergound pressurized tunnel systems using resources harvested from the Paks Belt. For the first few decades, the settlement on the planet was thriving and relations between the male and female populations on Polymen were healthy and equitable.
All of that changed when certain frustrated parties on Hartika Rita stoked the flames of war between the two systems. As relations between the two systems slowly deteriorated, so did relations between the two sexes. In the end, fearing a return to the staus quo experienced on Hartika Rita, the men of Polymen began placing laws and regulations that greatly limited the abilties of females in their society. While the relations between the two were never as bad as they were between the females and males of Hartika Rita, the end result was a vast inequality between the two genders.
After the Fall the Polymen infrastructure, already weakened from being thrown into a centuries long war before they had time to mature and stabilize, was reduced to little more than a barbaric society. Women now hold positions in their society as little more than slaves, and they have little to no advanced technology of their own. As the war has been slowly heating up again, and larger more powerful parties have become involved, the ACR has uplifted the Polymen, providing them weapons and supplies to fight with.
