Paks Belt

The Paks Belt is a dense asteroid belt located between the third and fourth planets in the Thorhil system. Primarily composed of M-class asteroids, the Paks belt is a major source of metals (particularly ncikle and iron) for the entire system. Sensor data is always changing, but it is estimated that the Paks Belt has around 2 million asteroids with a radius greater than half a kilometer, with at least three times as many smaller objects. Considered a dense belt, the average distance between objects in the belt is only around 160,000 kilometers, compared to the almost 1 million kilometer average distance between objects in the Sol Belt of Old Terra.
