Tarakan 7

Tarakan 7 is one of the last functioning Surtur-class ODPs in the Thorhil system.
Although the Ritan male population that migrated to the planet of Polymen did so under the auspice of peace, history shows they never truly trusted that peace. Furthermore history has shown that the Ritans themselves never meant to keep it.
Fearing the that the Ritan War would only end with Polymen's destruction, just before The Fall the Polymen used all of their collective wealth to lease a series of ODPs from the ACR. With dozens of these orbital weapon stations in place around the planet they were able to build a defensive network that became commonly referred to as The Fire Net. After The Fall, many of these stations were destroyed or totaled. Those remaining were recovered by the ACR, dismantled and sent back to the Euribian Nebula.
Tarakan 7 was left at the decree of the ACRN Grand Admiral who was moved by the Polymen's plight and, knowing their planet lacked the natural resources to build their own defenses, left the station under the control of a VI as the Polymen's one and only defense.
