Gis Revenus Gojira

Gis Revenus Gojira, or the GRG, is a crime syndicate founded by the hero of Tel'ul Gojira, though it got its name after Gojira's death fighting the Seraph of Fall and his Dormant Cult. Though a hero that saved the Veritian Leaf, his group was far from morally good. They cared for only two things, the Seraph of Spring and strength. Founded in Tel'ul in 1041, they became quite the criminal syndicate in the Sovereign People's of Neih, having members in places of power. Many even saw them as the nations secret police, outside the law for the benefit of the budding nation. But after the smoke cleared, they began to be seen as what they were, mobsters and outlaws.   In 1042, the GRG, with the help of one Vincent Netherridge and the Shadar-Kai Colonials, set out to resurrect their fallen leader. Not long into that year, they travelled to one of the Shadar-Kai's empty leaves to reclaim the ruins of an ancient device from a Dormant remnant. It was an artifact of Tid Datid, the Hahlian god of time. With that device, a cube of great power, they were able to travel back in time. Thus they formed the Spring Mission, Winter Mission, and Fall Mission.   In 1043, after the success of the Spring Mission, they resurrected Gojira in the old Eternal Empire silo in Tel'ul. Now mechanized and closer to Spring, Gojira spent the next 8 years using his crime syndicate to try to reclaim the Lantern of Sorrow from King Bedrich. They also were smugglers and saboteurs during the Cold War, causing mayhem for Tumult's efforts.

Structure

The GRG is a meritocracy based around strength. The strong lead, even to the point that if their leader Gojira is bested in combat he would give up his position.

Culture

They have a tradition of strength, valuing power above all.

History

GRG Spring Mission: The GRG Spring Mission began in 1042. They sent a squad of fifty to the Droplets of Turm to request an audience with Spring in order to resurrect Gojira with her power in the future. This is successful, though it had dire consequences to the region, one of their members becoming a powerful threat. The Spring Mission remains in the Droplets of Turm lead by one Musashi. Its goals are resource and wealth extraction, Spring research, trade with the fishfolk, and power struggle with the Giff Consortium and the necromancer Creed.   The Winter Mission: The GRG only sent a small group to Winter, not having much to attract them to the region. They quickly lost contact with that group, and did not deign to send future assistance, seeing it as a waste of resources.   The Fall Mission: The GRG sent their largest group to this region, entering a zone called the Decay. Their goal was to reach the Abkhazia region, Gojira's home turf, and slay a Dormant assassin who wanted to kill Gojira before he could be a nuisance in the future. But this turned out to be a long mission, requiring settling into the region, as too early for Gojira and his fight with Ghidorah. Early by many decades in fact. They established themselves as a society of scavengers in the region, and building a device to travel long distances with magic as they had no means to finding Abkhazia by other methods. This hunt is still ongoing, though they know they were successful. Who brought that success is a vied for honor.

Tenets of Faith

While it is not necessary, Spring worship is highly valued within the GRG. The syndicate tithe a portion of their loot to the founding of temples to Spring, constructing one in Tel'ul where the Ul once was, as well as encouraging the study and archeological pursuit of Spring devices. They treat Spring like a patron to their cause, thanking her for the bounty they rob, even though most have little clue what the seraph desires from them. She is almost like a mascot.
