Gojira

Gojira was the creation of Joshua Harman.   Gojira was a titanic creature from the season of Fall prior to the Summer of the Veritian Leaf. His gargantuan size was lost though after sustaining a mortal injury during his last fight with his rival, Ghidorah. But, as he was a devout servant of the Seraph of Spring, he was given a second chance of life. Spring cocooned him in amber, and his form was consumed by Neih as nutrients for the building of continental leaves. His form gravitated to the ul of Val'ul, and there he hatched once more, though significantly smaller. Many assumed he was a dragonborn.   On the Veritian Leaf, Gojira joined the adventures of Kourend, Elias and Malvo, taking part in events such as the Fall of Caskajaro, the Battle of Dusk, the Loss of Val'ul, and the defense of Tel'ul where he died fighting his love's mortal enemy, the Seraph of Fall. His body sat on the spot where the ul of Tel'ul once sat, memorialized of the titan's sacrifice. But a loyal group of gangsters sought to revive their champion through an elaborate time travel quest.   They succeed, and Gojira returned as Mechagojira, as they needed to build a new body for his soul. The Gis Revenus Gojira made it out of old Eternal Empire tech they found in Tel'ul. Now back from the dead, Gojira continued building his crime empire, focusing a lot of his attention on King Bedrich of Tumult and his Lantern of Sorrow that Gojira coveted. Gojira and the GRG spent the next nine years messing with the lich, culminating into a final battle and war in 1051. Gojira joined forces with the Sovereign Peoples of Neih for this conflict. They were victorious, though he was not capable of acquiring the Lantern of Sorrow.   For the next fifty years, Gojira built his crime empire in the central region of the leaf, fortifying within the SPN and expanding into Tumult and the Ten Thousand Lake region. While his crime empire grew mostly unimpaired, they began to bud heads with another growing power, the Hunters of Dharkness under the command of Karmal.

Physical Description

Identifying Characteristics

During his time at Dusk, Gojira joined a group of halfling terrorists called the Third Militia. They were adept users of black powder explosives, and they hired the firebreathing fellow to do an operation destroying a bridge that supplied the Mineos Crusade in their attempt to take the city. He followed through with this task, detonating the explosives underneath the bridge. He was near the explosive though, and his face and body were scarred heavily because of it.   During the rescue mission within the temporal bubble covering Val'ul, Gojira and his friends ambushed the paraclete of Uz, Vox. In the fight, the paraclete ate one of his fingers.

Personal history

Pre-Veritian Leaf History (Written by Joshua Harman):   It was the custom that the hordes of the nearby Wildlands beyond the empire would come into the empire once every few months to collect water and resources they needed in an event called the Watering. Sometimes, these would turn into raiding and pillaging missions, especially as fall approached. At these times the great titanic creatures of the further Wildlands, beyond the marshes, would come for the Watering, and would sometimes have to be driven away if possible, as they would quickly overwhelm the resources of the Empire.   At this time, the lands were divided between Abkhazia, wherein reigned the humans, Ingushetia, the land of the Dwarves, and Mari El, land of the Elves and fey creatures. Gojira was born as fall was approaching to a Dragonborn family living in Abkhazia, during the reign of the Emperor Meiji II. The Dragonborn were generally distrusted in these lands, as many of them were part of the wild tribes living beyond the marshes, many in the great fortress of Dragonburg.   For the thousands of years since the last winter, Spring had provided a champion and guardian for each of the realms, as long as they remained her champions as well. Mothra was the defender of Mari El, Rodan was the defender of Ingushetia, and Ghidorah was the defender of Abkhazia. These creatures would drive away the great beasts from beyond. Ghidorah, however, was unsatisfied with his lot in life, and flew to Dragonburg where he declared himself as the guardian of that territory, and champion of Fall. This left Abkhazia without a guardian and the hordes with a leader. War was inevitable.   When Gojira was 6 years old, the first true Battle of the Watering took place. Mothra and Rodan came to defend Abkhazia and drove away Ghidorah and his forces. The trauma of the battle lingered in the people of Abkhazia for some time, and they sought for a new protector from Spring. After two years of searching the land, Gojira was chosen to undergo the ritual to make him the defender of Abkhazia. Four years later, after the necessary preparations, Gojira underwent the ritual and was transformed. Within two years, he grew to 10 feet tall. By the age of 16, he was 100 feet tall. Two years later, he reached 250 feet tall, and two years after that, he stopped growing at about 355 feet. At this point, he was ready. He oversaw and kept order at the Waterings for the next two years before disaster struck again. Having seen this upstart Gojira, Ghidorah attacked at the Second Battle of the Watering. With the help of Mothra, Abkhazia had the victory again, this time without the same amount of devastation.   The next year, the three kingdoms of the Empire marched to war along with their guardians and Spring’s champions against Dragonburg. Ghidorah mustered his hordes and his monsters and the great Battle of Dragonburg took place. After much fighting and devastation, Gojira ripped one of the heads from Ghidorah and obliterated another with his flaming breath. Ghidorah and his armies were defeated. Gojira was proclaimed the great Alpha. However, this sapped much of Gojira’s energy, and within a year he was asleep.   He would sleep for the next 20000 years, give or take, before being awoken on a leaf of Neih, in a world unknown to him, by a group of heroes whom he would join. Mothra had kept Gojira’s more destructive impulses in line, but there was no Mothra here. Rodan had been his friend, but there was no Rodan here. The process of being drawn up to the leaf by Neih has left him small and powerless compared to his old self, in a world where no one knows of his purposes or his exploits.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

He is a devout follower of Spring, though his disposition of destruction and violence rarely coincides with the desires of that Seraph. But he tries.

Social

Contacts & Relations

During the development of the Tel'ul Defensive, Gojira sought to enter the criminal element of the city and use its resources to aid in the defense. He thus joined the Evermead crime family. But after much success, Gojira made a move to take over. His strength was unrivaled and he took control of not only the Evermead family, but a majority share of the city's crime element (only the Garkalan family, an ally, showing any semblence of rival strength). After, he took the title of sheriff of the city and led a militia he formed to a great victory against the Dormant, Gojira had built a sizable following of disenfranchised men. After his death pushing back the Stillborn God, this group of loyal gangsters formed the Gis Revenus Gojira, an organization devoted to reviving the titan and following Spring.   Gojira had a murderous rivalry with another titan named Ghidorah. They both were reborn on the Veritian Leaf to continue their combat. While Gojira was able to kill the head of Kevin, and the head of Ni died at the hands of his allies, Alpha was able to find a means to cripple Gojira. After the fight with Indolence during the Battle of Tel'ul, Gojira was put into a deep sleep where he dreamed of that fateful battle years ago. But this time it was different, as it seemed that Ghidorah had aid. Alpha had found something to send him back in time, and he used it to do harm back on the Veritian Leaf. Gojira fell at the wall of Tel'ul during the second advance of the Dormant thanks to this meddling, but Spring was not done with her champion, giving him one last spark of life to finish the fight, which Gojira used to burn the Drowned Lady's most hated foe.

Speech

Here are some quotes from Gojira:   "Every last moment… I will fight… As long as I have breath, I will fight you, Fall. You have nothing I fear. Allow me even one moment of life, and I will spend it destroying you. Kill me, and I will find myself in the arms of my love. You can do nothing to me. But me… I will do everything to you."   "My lady, my goddess, my love! We have this chance today like never before! I have fought the hated enemy's servants twice, but this is him himself. Reveal your glory through me once again."   "“My lady Spring, I am here to serve you as ever. Once again, I prepare to face the forces of the enemy, Fall, in battle, just as I did at Dragonburg long ago. Now, as then, I kneel before you to beg your mercy. I have been selfish and given in to my dark side again and again since I awoke on this leaf. I have wrought destruction and taken lives that perhaps need not have been taken. I come before you to say that I repent of my evil actions that flew in the face of all that you taught me and commanded of me. Nonetheless, I have done what I could to unite the people of this city, using the skills you have given me. I am not skilled with words in the moment like Malvo, nor gentle with my intentions like Elia. You gave me power and strength, and I have used those to dismantle crime and build an army to defend the people as best I could. Now, Fall once more creeps towards my adopted home, just as it did against my true home, and I… we are in desperate need of your help. I am willing to die for these people if need be. To fight alongside them in defence of this world would be the greatest honour, just as it was in the last. But if we are to have any hope of victory, we need you. I need you. Please, give me the strength when the time comes to face the hordes of the enemy. Give me the power I need to drive them off and destroy them utterly if the need comes. Give us all the will to hold until the last if it comes to it. And if I should fall, either in death or to the slumber once more, please, protect my friends. Elia, the voice of reason, who reminds me so much of Mothra. Malvo, the trickster, who does what he must to get by. Even though these two are heathens who worship other Seraphs, please grant them your protection if I should not be able to do it myself. And for all that I ought to have thought but have not thought; all I ought to have said and have not said; all I ought to have done, and have not done, I would ask, for your forgiveness.”
