Cletus
Cletus was the creation of Joshua Harman.
Cletus was a GRG spy. His real name was Zindan Eagerwhisper. A changeling bard of great skill, he was sent to Capitol during the Eternal invasion to act as an ambassador. The GRG killed an emissary from Littleroot, and Cletus took his place. When he arrived at the Capitol, he was corralled into a group of small time ambassadors with Urg of the Guild of Rogues, Stone from Arman and Farrus of the Val'ulian diaspora. This group was last in line to see the A.I. leader of the fleet, Cotas. Thus, they worked their diplomatic muscles to get ahead in line.
While working their way up, Cletus started his real job of getting nations allied with the GRG. He made headways with the hags of Hag's Inn and the Grieving of Grief. But to everyone else, he was but an entertaining bard starting line dances and impromptu concerts. This got the attention of the film director Rednose of the Bull division who was looking for actors for his upcoming production 'Bedrich.' With Cletus' showmanship, the party got roles in the movie. They actually became pivotal in the movie's production, finding key actors and getting much of the local filming permission by the Veritians. Bedrich would have had a difficult time without them.
Another plot that Cletus was moderately to blame of was the Capitol Virus event, as the virus' origin was from Littleroot. The Mother of Littleroot was seeking vengeance on the emissary slain by the GRG, and since Zindan wore his face, he was their main target. Once Cletus died, Littleroot had no reason to continue their terrorizing of the ship.
Cletus played the role of Maelen in the movie, though he was not a halfling. He only played a role in the first act of the movie, as his antics during one of the scenes provoked the ire of the actor playing Bedrich, the son of the lich king Whitcomb. He poked the bear too often in the scene with the automaton of Gluttony, and in the kerfuffle Whitcomb disintegrated Cletus. No one noticed this action, and Cletus became MIA. Later, he received a posthumous award for his intro speech for the film.
Zindan was not slain though, as he had one of the Rings of Mind Shielding. His soul was trapped in the ring, and it was swepted away in the cleanup after filming was done. The ring lies somewhere in the coffers of the Bull branch in the ruins of the Capitol mothership.
