Bard put in place the hammer of Sigmar as his ability to control nobles once Arthron abdicated. Cillian traded the son of Robert Faelthorn and Wryn in exchange for the hammer when making a deal with Arthron and the other leaders.

Cillian searched the tunnels for the Thadric who could overthrow him once he was of age. The nurses of Wryn kept him safe and hid him in the tunnels away from Cillian. The tunnels were discovered from a Aldric Goldwyne that who hated Arthron and Drystan Carthel. The small folk were able to evacuate most of the population in their tunnels prior to Cillian's army finding the tunnels.
