Onnos

Onnos is the Eddy's unofficial representative. In the Dancinglight's absence, she welcomes visitors and attends to guests. Despite having been an active member of the Wringers for five years, she is sometimes recognized as "the good one" thanks to her well-publicized role in destabilizing them during the 2040 Vol dissolution of the Unity.

Accomplishments & Achievements

It isn't properly accurate to say that Onnos turned against the Wringers. All of them were in agreement about wanting to know more about the future Kezlaf had them working toward, but without any intent to overthrow or supplant him. They were on the point of confronting him as a group when they received word that Mraydor was under attack. Ardez insisted they defer their plan and address the threat, but Istlourn wanted to use the urgency as added pressure. The argument escalated until Ardez activated her lightning wheel and raised a water wall loaded with painful charges.   As another worker, Onnos could have assisted her. Instead she pulled the water in the wheel toward her, throwing Ardez off-balance and allowing the others to close in. Her moment of decisive action was possibly the pivot that allowed the Dissolvers' attack to turn to victory. Even more impressive, she was fifteen years old and working against an adult sibling who had several years' more experience and practice.   Alcendis used Onnos as an example when she argued with the new Allied Isles against the strictness of the policies forbidding former Wringers from stepping on any Cluster Island shore. The ban went through despite her attempts to soften it, leaving Onnos as confined to the Eddy as the rest of the former Wringers. Her older siblings--even Ardez--are still proud of her for the action she took.

Failures & Embarrassments

In the immediate aftermath, it wasn't clear to anyone whether Onnos was a hero or a traitor. Dissolvers breached the palace during the confusion, a threat the Wringers then had to face without their best defender. Istlourn sent Onnos to take the youngest Wringers to a more secure part of the palace, an order she interpreted as a punishment. In the following conflict Kezlaf died, which had not been a part of their plan. The Dissolvers' success meant the failure of the Unity. Within a few months, all the Wringers were banished to the Eddy's island. For a long time Onnos felt that she was the cause of all of it.
