Mordecai Mallum

Mordecai Mallum is the current Archmagister on the Grand Councilate.

History

The Mallum family has ben long maligned for the actions of their ancestor, Murdoc Mallum, a necromancer who terrorized the Castellan Kingdoms back in the Nerian period. Mordecai was born in the Heartlands in 212 IE, and showed arcane potential from a young age. He was a precocious boy who preferred animals and familiars to people.
Mordecai was enrolled in school, initially angling to become an accountant, when he was assigned to join an expedition into a recently unearthed Old Ones ruin in Pologo alongside other classmates, most notably future Archon Cecilia, then known as Mariam Rilts,
The expedition was a massive success. They were unable to unearth many extant artifacts, as well as a functional Mirror-Gate to the Crossroads. Several of those who went on the expedition went on to form an adventuring party that became known as the Society of the Grey Walrus.

The Society of the Grey Walrus

Known members of the Society of the Grey Walrus are Mordecai Mallum, Mariam Rilts, Everard F. Hultrim, Osha Allgood and Sabine Collins.
The group was active from 230 IE to 243 IE, frequently collaborating on more expeditions into Old One ruins, and travelling as far as the jungles of Kataseko. They famously defeated a black dragon on behalf of a small village in the Lichen Marches.
Mariam Rilts was the first member to leave the Society in 234 IE to focus on her divine calling.
