Kisawawa (kisawawa)
"The fools on Bato are waiting for a sign that will never come. The reborn king is already here, and we will rise again soon." - Saktiraja
Kisawawa is a small island in the Lamofo Islands group, a part of the Mangimoi Archipelago. It is home to the second largest population of Anma Kikipua, second only to the island of Bato, who control the southern part of the island. The northern half of the island has several communities of humans, mostly of the Pulawan ethnicity, and nominally under the governance of the Kingdom of Gailo. Since the mysterious disappearances on the island of Tubu, Gailo has not been a strong presence on the island, and the southern-based Anmaraja has become the dominant political power on the island.
The Anmaraja was founded a few years ago, when a young Anma hatchling began to display magical powers, revealing that they bore the gift of True Magic. This child took the name Saktiraja, and the Anma villages along the southern coast of Kisawawa have unified under their rule. They believe that Saktiraja is the promised reincarnation of the ancient Anma mage-kings from before the fall of Muria, and that they will lead a restored Anmaraja in conquering the Mangimoi Archipelago and beyond. At the same time, the Anma around Saktiraja know that they are in a vulnerable time. The young mage is still inxperienced, and they have nobody to teach them True Magic. They have sought the support of their kin on the island of Bato, but the Anma there have denied the truth of their claim, and insist that the returned mage-king could only be hatched on Bato, the center of the old Anmaraja.
This rebuff has left the budding Anmaraja in disarray. They had depended on the support of the more heavily populated Bato in protecting Saktiraja and acquiring a teacher in the magical arts, and had made claims over the northern Pulawan villages based on the assumption of support. Now they find themselves over-extended and worry that they have revealed too much, too soon. The word of the Anmaraja and its goals has spread to the other polities of the archipelago, and it is unlikely that they will simply wait until the Anma can train their mage-king into a force capable of conquering them all.
Notable Spirits
The Hyang of Kisawawa is named Vaki, and manifests as a great golden serpent, whose eyes flash in the sun and can strike a person dead with a glance. Vaki is an ancient god who was worshipped before the Nakaal spell shattered the land and created the Mangimoi Archipelago, and the Anma of Kisawawa have held to their worship practically unchanged for millennia. Vaki is a god of patience and watchfulness, and spends much of the time asleep beneath the earth. But the priests of Vaki claim that the god has awoken to bless the young Saktiraja and has invested an Avatar to defend the young mage and safeguard the future of the Anmaraja. The identity of Vaki's avatar has not been revealed, but it is believed to be one of the close advisors and guardians of Saktiraja.
Geography
Kasiwawa is a small and hilly island, with a range of small mountains running from east to west. The island is roughly rectangular, and measures about seven miles from north to south, with a maximum width of around five miles. The coastline of Kasiwawa is made up of rugged limestone cliffs that form gigantic steps rising out of the sea. The interior is heavily forested, and there are many species of birds, reptiles, and mammals that call the island home.

The True Name of Saktiraja
Saktiraja is a pseudonym, which roughly means "Mage-King". Like many with the gift of True Magic, Saktiraja has concealed their birth name (the physical component of their True Name) so that it will not be used against them. However, given Saktiraja's youth, it is likely that many people in the southern villages where they were hatched know the name they used before the gift became apparent. As Saktiraja's reputation grows, it is likely that there will be agents of various powers in the Great Ring visiting Kisawawa in order to obtain this information.
