Crow's Fort Settlement in The Library of Dekash | World Anvil

Crow's Fort

The center of the Liberus reclamation effort. Currently a multicultural and multi corporate effort to retake the dangerous wilds of Liberus. Now an expansive city and one of the largest in the world.

Government

A collective Oligarchy made up of appointed leaders from the kingdoms of Arcadia, Sapphire Isles, Caeladonia, Randgriz Empire, Haven; and the companies Fortune Networks, Entropy Inc, Enigma Futuristics, Nimbus Industries, and The Old Ax Supplier Company.

History

Crow's Fort started as a small military outpost to protect the land entrance of Caeladonia's greatest financial asset as worries of war with Randgriz brewed. The fort saw a small settlement built up in the following years, and its value as a forward operating base for Vampires supported by the Caeladonian crown was seen as extremely useful for their efforts. It stood as a vampire hideout until it was taken down by Crow and other agents of Thaler.   The backlash of vampires in the city meant that when Liberus became independent, vampire hunters led by one of the agents who helped free it, were more than happy to take control. This change didn't last very long, however as the high vampire father of Trogdor was able to infiltrate the organization and use the guise of a vampire hunter to spread his influence until being killed by Trogdor and his fellow Ascended Heroes.   Crow's Fort didn't have much time to reclaim its strength before the Manadrop incident that destroyed Liberus. The order of hunters stayed there for a short time while the state of the settlement deteriorated and became abandoned. It remained that way many years as Liberus nearby became a monster nest. Finally it started to see growth again in 253 when a team of varied kingdoms and corporations all came to an agreement to pool resources and efforts into reclaiming Liberus and founding a new city starting with the expansion of Crow's Fort.   The new Crow's Fort has quickly grew under the leadership of Aien Yinvyre, and later on Lemuel Sheridan. The continued leadership of Dagoruk (disguised as Aien) has surprisingly seen the city to continue to expand.
