The Key to Ascension

Having arrived at Mausolea and having met Deaderah, the party will be aware of the threat that Arenez creates. Deaderah instructed the party to go and search for Zenera who should be somewhere in Aetheris. To achieve this, they must gain access to the Ancient Tower and ascend its height. To access the tower, an item is required, known as an Ascension Keys. One of which is in the possession of Eikon who is already scaling the tower. The other one sits in the The Locked Altar, located in the middle of the magma lake near Mausolea.
For the party to get to the Locked Altar, they must make their way to Eagor's Watch. From here a great bridge can be raised that will lead to the altar. Making one's way to the fortress might not be so simple, however, as the path to there passes along the Ruins of Sirus, which has become a common gathering place for stray demons. When the party arrives, they must make their way through the interior of the fortress in order to lift the great chains that shape the bridge to the Locked Altar. Of course, the fortress is not without its dangers. The current overseer, Illfang the Brazen Lord maddeningly guards its inner rooms, while stray demons stalk its halls.
Once unlocking the path to the altar, a final challenge awaits. The altar is guarded by the Sentinel of Ascension, a vicious beast who controls a giant serpent that lurks in the magma surrounding the altar. If the party is able to deal with the guardian, they can claim the ascension key.

Grander Scope

Prior to the quest, the players will become aware of the return of Arenez. This is done in the event Arriving into the Underworld, where the players will meet Deaderah. This event also introduces Zenera and shines a light on the identity of the Ancient Tower and what's above the clouds. While progressing through the quest, the current state of Asmodeus will become clear to the players. It is a broken and decaying realm that has suffered greatly ever since Arenez's imprisonment.

Description

"An Ascension Key, which is required to enter the Ancient Tower, is held in the Locked Alter. Obtaining it will be no easy task, as the only path to there is a bridge that is controlled from Eagor's Watch, a fallen fortress. Venture to this landmark and raise the great bridge that crosses the field of magma, only then can the Ascension Key be obtained."

Progression

1. Reach Eagor's Watch
2. Clear the Bowls of Eagor's Watch and raise the chains
3. Cross the great bridge and arrive at the Locked Altar
4. Defeat the Sentinel of Ascension
5. Collect the Ascension Key
