Aetheris

Aetheris, the brilliant land between heavens and earth. This divine realm was ruled by Zenera, Exarch of the Heavens during ancient times and served as the gateway between the mortal realm and the realm of the gods. It used to be inhibited by Zenera and his angels who lived in the 26 great sky cities. With the deity gone, the remaining angels have lost their form and transformed into the Icara. Aetheris is often called the land above the clouds, this is because the realm consists of an endless ocean of clouds upon which a multitude of islands is located. Beneath the surface of this ocean lurk various aquatic lifeforms that make the cloud deck their home. 
The realm is can interact with the mortal realm using a number of anchor points. These anchors are gigantic towers that are constructed by the gods throughout the overworld. They can be activated by Zenera linking up Aetheris with the mortal realm. Whenever this is done, the sky of the overworld will be covered in a thick layer of clouds around the tower. These clouds do not block the light of the sun. Passing through these clouds will enable one to enter Aetheris. There is currently one tower still active, this is The Ancient Tower in the meydia region. The tower remains active due to the last war between The Warring Twins being held in this region, with Zenera being imprisoned before he could deactivate the tower.
