Isserite Kingdom
The Isserites are the descendants of Sabouin nomads who rode out of the desert to crush the Iron Empire many generations ago. In the centuries since, they have adopted many of the customs of their ancient foes, and largely assimilated with the local population. The Isserite Kingdom is now a settled and wealthy realm - perhaps the mightiest in the known world - and the largest stronghold of the Iron Empire’s religion of Auneirism (albeit a reformed version without human sacrifice). The Isserites dominate the centre of the known world, in equal parts with their powerful camelry and skilled light infantry, and with their shrewd diplomacy and cultural weight.
