Caranthian Kingdom
The Carathians were once steppe-nomads like their cousins the Scytarans, but within the basin of Caranthia they have forged a stable kingdom. Settling during the fall of the Iron Empire, the Carathians have embraced both feudalism and the Harsuist faith, but retain a strong horse-riding tradition, which is often put to the test during Scytaran raids. The Carathians are perhaps the most isolated of the civilised peoples of the known world, and their lands often seem primitive to outlanders, but they are by necessity an adaptable nation, quick to adapt to the changing situations they often find themselves in.
