Turantian Cities
The Turantian peoples have long been known for their shrewdness in trade, unscrupulous politicking, and odd form of governance known as “democracy”. The Turantians are divided into many independent city-states, as they were in ancient times, most of which are republics, and many of which lack nobility entirely. Once such a city, known as Empoldu, has come to dominate much of the Turantian world in recent decades, and turned the attention of the Turantians outwards from squabbling with each other, to squabbling with their ancient rivals, the Tiirianites. Harsuism has largely prevailed in Turantia, though it is not uncommon to find Auneirists or even pagans within their diverse cities.
