Zeet & Lena

Born as twins but also as half-siblings, Zeet's father was the Aeonite king of The Agrivate Fulcrum while Lena's father is unknown but is believed to be a god their mother Adele hid from the Final Hegemony.

Because of this infidelity, King Adrion divorced his wife (naming her the God Wench) and planned to kill her and her illegitimate children (even though Zeet was his true son). However, her loyal midwife helped her escape on the transport leaving for Eceterus-Prime.

Zeet & Lena grew up with personalities directly opposite of one another:

Zeet is a brash, headstrong athlete with exceptional skill who brings in Ichma (not Ichor due to his mixed heritage) as a Deep Space freighter. He volunteers as a towel boy in the Pan-Hellecia Gymnasium of Champions to be around the top athletes training for the sector-wide athletic competitions, to one day become a Pan-Hellecian champion. He'd always look to prove himself in physical contests (even though he'd lose due to a technicality), and blamed Lena and/or his Ionite curse for the loss.

Lena was a timid, thoughtful, introverted demi-goddess with transparent wings, working as an assistant for the Meteorological Society. While she struggled to assert herself and get what she wanted, she always managed to hid her godhood by using her grace and wit, while winning the favor of those around her (except for her half-brother).

The siblings would be constantly at each other throats, Zeet blaming Lena for their banishment and misfortune while Lena reminded Zeet of his mortality and inferiority.

However, when the two would get in trouble (Zeet for starting fights with athletes who cheated against him, Lena getting hit on by Aeonite oarsmen or those suspecting her godhood), the other would drop everything to save their sibling (Lena: use her wit to talk Zeet out of trouble, Zeet: intimidate and throw a few punches for good measure).

Meeting the Psygonauts:

Zeet & Lena meet the Psygonauts when The Psygorellius makes an emergency stop on the cluster's capital planet of Sutsonok-Prime.

Looking to resupply and for UHP Rector Dysomus to upload his data to the closest Universal Historical Parish representative (located in the Sutsonok Meteorological Society)

They run into Lena who explains most of Sutsonok has already left. The Dactylonian Dust Maze is about to return.

The Dust Maze is a Hellecian-made device created by Dactylon, the father of Syracilus, to trap the now-extinct race of Minotaurians (and political dissidents) on a deserted colony planet. Made to look like an artificial asteroid, it creates a mini Oort Cloud when caught in the planet's gravity.

However, after the supernovae of Karoj-Menos, the planet was destroyed and the Maze was knocked into Sutsonok's orbit. The planet's only hope of clearing the device is when the cluster's nearby gas giant passes by and knocks the asteroid out of their orbit...in its 15 year rotational cycle.

No ships can navigate through it, even all the planet's best pilots have left to shuttle the wealthy citizens off-world.

Unable to find her brother (who promised her passage off-planet before the Dust Maze), Lena asks for their help in finding Zeet in exchange for her uploading Dysomus' data to her superiors.

The group finds Zeet in a middle of a brawl a Pan-Hellecian athlete named Hemephelos who Lena has a crush on and the person Zeet challenged to a foot race in exchange for passage off-planet for Lena and their mother.

The Psygonauts break up the fight and learn that Hemephelos lied about his passage off-world; vowing to claim his prize for winning the race when the Dust Maze comes.

Scolding her brother for making her not apply for Delot relief on the chance he'd win a loaded bet, Zeet barely has time to retort as the Dust Maze arrives.

The newly-freed poor descend on the planet's important buildings. All except the one's with military-grade Delot automated security systems (including the hangar, trapping The Psygorellius) on the ground.

Zeet & Lena guide the Psygonauts out of the city to their mother's home. However, the group finds their mother has been kidnapped.

Blaming each other for their mother's disappearance, they work together (along with Hemephelos - the leader of the newly-appointed mob, who tells them about the beast and where it went) to find a surviving Minotaurian has taken their mother deep into the cave systems within the planet.

Reaching the central chamber, Hemephelos signals his friends as they drop the man-bull costume and spring their trap so their leader can claim his prize from the race: Lena.

Just then, the planet's teutonic plates shift as clouds of Cosmic Aurora are released into the cave, making AJM-001 sneeze on a pile of fossilized bones under him. Without warning, the fossilized corpse of the Minotaurian king slain by King Thesacles comes back to life bigger and hunger than it was in the stories. The group runs as Hemephelos' followers screams echo through the cave.

The Psygonauts along with Zeet & Lena run for their lives. With a sense of poetic justice, Zeet beats Hemephelos out of the labyrinthine cave system as Hemephelos is dragged under and eaten alive by the monster.

Seeing that Lena and their mother didn't make it out of the cave, Zeet goes back in to save his mother or meet the fate he deserves. However, Dysomus has another idea.

Hinting that the boy should inject himself with a "careless" vial of Ichor "left on the ground" (to get around the laws about illegal inoculations and Dysomus' vows of interference). Zeet (with a pliable AJ following behind him) uses his Ionite extra sensory perception abilities to find Lena and his mother in absolute darkness.

While escaping from the minotaurian's pursuit, Zeet uses the last of his Ichorized strength to "reset" AJ's mind into Commander AJ and re-slays the minotaurian.

Mortally wounded, Adele gathers her two children and has them promise as their mother's die wish to look after each other and to live the "intentional" lives Adele was too afraid to live.

With the data collected by Dysomus and since The Psygonaut's helmsman was eaten by the minotaurian, Zeet & Lena helped the Psygonauts escape the impassible Oort Cloud by following the drift patterns observed in the labyrinthine patterns dug by the Minotaurian.

Aboard the Psygorellius:

From then on, Lena is the Psygorellius' planetary atmospheric analyst and Zeet the ship's helmsman (in training) and primarily the crew's physical trainer to keep the effects of zero gravity from affecting the physical readiness of the crew.

However, Zeet would have to earn Lena's trust back after the Hemephelos incident. But that's for a near-death experience latter.
