Tissaf-Sadem

Spawned from the last generation of Ecnaberati knowledge keepers, Tissaf-Sadem (once called Aphernerat) is a greedy, self-indulging bug who abandoned his post and fled Ecnaberate before the onslaught of the Perxis-Sadem.

Aphernerat escaped the Hellecian Sector (before the destruction of Karoj-Menos) in hiding in the area that would become The Ionite Colony Clusters of the Thumb.

After the destruction of the Greek Gods, Aphernerat observed and recorded the development of the Hellecian generations and the effects of this Ichor on mortal beings and their societies.

Even going as far as luring and experimenting on Hellecians of all four tribes to study the effects of their Ichor.

Upon hearing of the degenerative nature of this "Nectar Madness," Aphernerat took all the Ichor he could get and brought it before the Grand Abcipitor.

As a show of good faith (along with the promise of a new body and a Shantrapzi in the empire), Aphernerat promised to weaken the sector from the inside in preparation for an invasion of the sector.

Marking his thorax and giving Aphernerat a new name, Xerbexis the Conquerer promised the new Tissaf-Sadem everything he wanted if he assured the swarm's victory over the Hellecians.

From Spy to Prisoner:

Before Tissaf-Sadem could enact his plan to cripple the Hellecians, his ship was boarded by Archaenid raiders.


Using his species' ability to latch itself inside a host body like a tapeworm, Tissaf-Sadem latched himself inside the body of its captain and allowed his security force to be destroyed for him to escape.

For a while, Tissaf-Sadem used various meat puppets to gather vital intelligence for the invasion. Unfortunately, his host's raiding party was seized by the Delothian Collective. Before Tissaf-Sadem could switch bodies, the robotic overlords sent him (in his recent meat puppet) to the Ilocanos-7 shipyards.

And Tissaf-Sadem would stay there for the rest of the invasion. Until Ulysses "Ollie" Dylos, AJM-001 & Eucidrie led a prison break, giving the elusive paramecium the chance to escape aboard The Psygorellius.

Aboard The Psygorellius:

Upon discovering Tissaf-Sadem aboard their ship, the bug begged for mercy. He would've been summarily executed if Dylos didn't him to procure a meat puppet and used this ability to help them escape a band of raiders.

After which, Tissaf-Sadem offered his services as a crew member (hidden inside a meat puppet at all times of course) and his knowledge of Ichor to help the commander understand how his own blood might be the key to unlocking his memories.

While those who know of his existence onboard don't trust the bug. His abilities (controlling organics like a clumsy puppeteer) and knowledge of Ichor have been invaluable to the crew.

Little do the foolish meat sacks know, they're helping him inch slower to becoming Shantrapzi of the Hellecian Sector. And it all starts with finding a way past the Pontic Shell.
