Terramorphic
I was sent an odd message. From a Guild our people had known, yet have never truly engaged with. A courier of the Wayfare Guild, with a sealed scroll. An old custom that was only used in the courts, reserved for people of nobility. Granted I am a king of the Rhojic, yet to be given such a show of respect. I wasn't expecting anyone outside of the Dwarven Clans to do something like this.I still remember that hospital in Mhzuchet, musky smell, bright sunlight streaming in through the window panes. I still hadn't recovered from the Battle, my voice still far too powerful to speak without needing to write my words down. Hjalti had become a close confidant and we read the scroll together.A simple statement, I wouldn't have called it an introduction. I wouldn't have called it a command, nor a warning. But, it filled my heart with a fire I couldn't explain. Only a sense that I had become part of something greater, welcomed into a fold I never knew existed.Show spoiler"Dear Child of Shadow, You are undoubtedly confused about the gift I have given you. Something not seen in quite some time in the world I broke, that we left behind out of our own fear. You have seen something we cannot allow them to know, you have knocked a door you did not know was there. We cannot allow everything we have done to be for nothing. Please, my Sweet Child, head to the City you call Glaion, learn from my Legion in the Wayfare Guild, ask for a man named Scout: Cosmos. You will be arrested, you will be questioned. But, he will come, that name is only given to those we can trust. If he does not believe you, show him this letter and speak my name. ~ With Love, Queen of the Fae
Effect
As such with Portals, the magic works in the same principal. When teleporting we tend to think about moving from across distances, yet, what are we truly doing other than manipulating the fabric of the Afterglow. You can think of it as a swap, you can think of it as a transmutation, you can think of it as a reaction, yet we can change much of the world around us.
The spell allows the caster to transfer stone and earth to a different type of material as long as it contains the same general material. If one wanted to change the granite below their feet of a palace courtroom into a vast sheet of mica, you could.
Side/Secondary Effects
Wayfares are demanded to exert an extreme amount of concentration for the magic of the Wayfares is based not off intent as other disciplines are. One needs to have a fundamental understanding of who the world around them operates, while taking into consideration the effects of the Fractal planes. If a caster expands their will beyond what their well of power is capable of channeling, the caster can be faced with a rather lethal task.
The effect that over exertion on the body and mind is such that a single soul born of a Divine Spark is that it will begin eating away at the power of that same Spark. Should a spark be consumed in the course of casting the spell to it's entirety, the caster with perish. All a caster needs to do when they feel that they have over done a spell is simple to stop. However, a spell that has not been preformed fully can warp the Fabric. A scar that eventually heals itself, yet anyone that enters the area will have an odd warped sense of reality.
Manifestation
It entirely depends on how the caster chooses to wield it, one could turn rough sandy terrain to easy to walk sandstone. One could turn the mud of a swamp into a dry potash (so long as they remember to teleport away the water of the swamp). One could turn the air of a chamber into an unbreathable concoction, should the caster be able to draw enough power to change as much.
Though, to someone watching said occurrence, it may seem like a trick of the eyes. A few paces in front of the caster turning to a different material for them to walk, small pops of rock turning to more useful terrain. Waters and mud seeming to part before these casters. Though, should one of tremendous power do such a thing would be an awful sight. A God's Eyes from the Guild once brought down the might of an oceanic trench by turning the water streaming off the peak to that trenches full pressure and leveled said mountain to stop an enemy army from following. Baron of Glaion Lucas Berthelot has a certain respect for the might of these people when he witnessed that God's Eyes do that act.

That's a really fun way of thinking about transmutation and the limitation of using the same materials doesn't make it seem overpowered. Good job :)
