Song's Afterglow
Condition that effects the fabric of reality as Wayfares interact with it. A frequency needs to be matched, though can be changed in pitch. This is a remnant of Vilorlith's song, as well at the scream of the Queen of the Fae, that created the Great Tree.
Vilorlith was the one to awake first in this world, and she sang out into this nothingness, this song reached the ears of the other three of The Quartet. That song, that thing that creates the fabric this reality exists in, still rings out long after the voice that called out had gone silent. The resonance of that magic can still be tapped into, a force that exponentially amplifies the effect of all spells and rituals. Her voice was the force to bring magic into this world, and continues to exert her will over the weave of the plane.
Transmission & Vectors
Some would call it a disease, some would call it a gift, some would say a myth, others would hold fast to a truth. The simple matter of it all is everything is made of this, there is no escaping it. One can use this for their benefit or for their own insight. Music is magic in this world, a noiseless hum that can drive one to the edge of it all, should one jump into that well spring, well. What would come back would a new breed, an enlightened being.
Prevention
There is no preventing what makes you who you are. There is hiding from the very material that is your body. There is no ability, no cure for to cleanse yourself of this magic is to destroy the mind body and soul. In theory as strong enough Silencing spell could rid this magic for a short time, yet to do so would be to deny the universe it's place. One object is known to sweep this power aside, as suicidal it would be to do so, the Silencing Bell is the only known thing to do so.

Very intriguing! So is this a condition with which one is born? And am I correct that it essentially imparts the ability to use magic upon someone?
Hmm, yes and no. It's only a condition in the aspect that it can act like a disease if misused. Someone that plays with forces can have it react negatively to the physical being. More so everything is made of this force, this magic is a very unique type that everyone technically has access to, but understanding it is something else. The Great Tree's magic works like a mix of hard and soft systems.
