The Dunwich Conspiracy Session 1 Report in The Great Dust Bowl | World Anvil

The Dunwich Conspiracy Session 1

General Summary

Four strangers have a chance meeting at the base of the Vault Crawler's main lift. Quickly picked out of the crowd by Mayor Thompson, they find themselves banding together to ease their anxiety while they hear his offer. After a tense first night things seem to be more safe for the misfit group than they appeared originally. With a bit of spending money and free roam of Undercity each find their own way to pass the time.

Player Reports

Serving as a loyal ambassador, Sir POSH handles most of the negotiations. Although most scavengers look at him with hungry murderous eyes, he maintains his charm and lends a helping hand to anyone that accepts one. Seeming to be the most 'level headed' of the group, he falls into the position of party treasurer without any objections. It is true after all that his head is gyroscopically stabilized to maintain a perfect balance during flight.

The wild card, Dusty Rattmen proves that he might not be much for words, but he does have some useful survival skills. He lends his keen eyes to the group, keeping lookout for any potential dangers. While exploring Undercity looking for a bit of 'R and R' he stumbled into First Citizen Martin who did nothing to spurn his attentions. In fact she even offered him and his friends a job..

Showing up in a mix of heat exhaustion and starvation, Tommy wandered into the group just looking for something to eat. His numberless Vault suit soon drew the attention of Old Man Thompson himself however and the party found themselves being lumped into his drama. After a brief misunderstanding, it seems Mayor Thompson and Tommy have a lot in more in common than just a name.

Nearly being drug along for the ride, the lonesome wandering youth Carter came to Undercity simply to offer his services as a shaman. His strange mix of holistic and mainstream medical techniques soon got him noticed by the aging Mayor, who is always looking for fresh talent he can exploit. Refusing to eat any food or sleep the night through, he remained suspicious until he met the Doc Peterson. Having little in the way of patience, the gruff man tried to put Carter to work only to find his patient treated under mysterious circumstances. Unable to figure out Carter's trick, he had to conceed that the boy had better medical knowledge than himself. Offering a space in the Luna Bar and Bunkhouse to set up as his personal clinic, Carter began giving it a top to bottom overhaul just to spite the grumpy old fart.
