Perra, Queen of Stetile, the 5th

Perra Kulsavas (a.k.a. The Shield of Stetile)

Mental characteristics

Personal history

The 5th child of the Golden Dragon and Bronze Queen, Perra, who was a very quiet and focused child as she grew up in the palace within Gatherlak. She wasn't anti social by any means, she simply did not wish to speak much using her voice. Some locals spoke of that she might have been mute, which of course she wasn't, but it was not rare that she went whole days without saying a word. At times, her silence would frighten those that did not hear her approach or walking by, as she read some book or simply walked around.   She was incredibly studious in her youth, passing easily the tests set forth by her mentors, and having little issue. What surprised all however was her love of the martial skills, especially that of the sword and spear. What surprised even further all those around her was her incredibly fascination with the Order of Stetile, the solitary warrior society to the north of the continent. The ideas of honor, loyalty, and all other things of their people was something that simply clicked for her, and something she quickly grew attached to the idea of being a hero.   People were then less surprised, except perhaps her father and mother, when she left for the Order, in hopes of becoming a knight. At first she came within without ever mentioning who she was, for she wanted a fair chance like everyone else, and not to be treated with favoritism or pushed away because of her status. Her cushy upbringing was in stark contrast to her life as in the Order. She would work to serve others, to help others, and to be the servant, rather than be the one with servants.   Despite this stark difference, she took it close to heart and worked hard. She quickly rose up through the ranks, becoming proficient, then excellent, then a true master with the shield and spear, quickly earning her own weapons. When it came to the Trial of Worth, she traveled out to slay a gigantic drake that had been terrorizing the locals. She arrived just as it was attacking the village, and in a sequence of events that still gets spoken of among the people of Stetile, she sprinted forward, pulled a child out of the way of the monster, and stuck her sword straight through the drakes mouth, piercing it through its skull.   She returned back with news of what she had done reaching the island before she did, with the drake's giant skull in tow. After that, her exploits quickly led her to the very top of the order, an Upholder, and becoming part of the great chamber of honor. She quickly became a paragon for all people, and a symbol for justice, one which would greatly expand the influence of the order, as more knights traveled out into the continent to work as protectors of the people.   As time went on, she would become the closest to a leader that the order had ever gotten, as she would help become a teacher for many a knight, and help organize its operations, perfecting techniques, and earning money through their knight's services and the sale of the monsters they slay. The land began truly being prosperous under her guidance.   Things began to change however, as Perra was forced to hastily return to her old home, Gatherlak, after receiving news of her father's diminishing frame. As she returned, she could feel the tension between her siblings, and how unwilling they truly were to play the game of lies. They all knew what was to come, all knew what their father would never do. She would simply stay as she always was to them, very quiet, but still being a bit talkative with her father when she was private with him.   Her father chose no successor, and with a detachment of knights, she quickly rode back to the Order's island, where all the Upholders were quick to swear their allegiance to their paragon, with little resistance. Her main focus would end up being that of defense, as she quickly fortified her lands and prepared her people for war. War would quickly come from many sides, and the tides would turn back and forth. As the Silence descended, the people were hit heavily by their inability to feed their people as famine wrecked the state's agriculture, forcing them to make heavy deals with other states for food.   There are words of war being spoken of within the towers of the Upholders, for many have grown impatient with the insults that have been put against their people and thus want to gain their revenge upon their enemies. Whether or not Perra thinks the same is not known, but a few people say that it is, and as her sibliings turn their eyes to the Golden Frontier, she prepares for war.

Education

Perra is a very intelligent individual, much like many of her siblings, and very knowledgable of the world as a whole. Her personal favorite subjects are that of history, with a great love for the great tales of epic battles between people, being fascinated in the stories of heroic efforts and last stands, along with having a good knowledge of different cultures of the world. On top of this, she has a good knowledge of some of the dangerous animals that she might have to face.

Mental Trauma

Despite having a good and noble heart according to those around her, due to her quiet nature, Perra sometimes appears to be cold and distant to those around her, leading some to think her as a unfriendly or hostile person. This can sometimes backfire on her when it comes to being diplomatic, hence why she allows others to do such work for her.

Personality Characteristics

Likes & Dislikes

Few would expect it of such a quiet person, but perhaps it is because of that, Perra loves literature, but in her specific case being that of poetry. In her time that she has to herself, she happily pours her mind out onto parchment and creating poetry, which can be of varying topics from the natural wonder of the world or a battle ballad. On top of this, she enjoys calmly sparring with her close friends, discussing current events or even debating a topic.   Being a very patient person, Perra dislikes people who are too hyper or aggressive, especially those that are too loud and disturb the gentle silence of the day. Along with this, she really dislikes those that disrespect tradition and history, with those who don't show proper respect to culture being very quick to draw her ire.
