Western Grasslands
Savannah and grasslands cover most of this region. The Jucora Depths spill into the southern tip of The Western Grasslands. This tends to be more temperate and less dense than true Jucoran jungle.
The two realms of this region, The Kingdom of Nijkum and The Kingdom of Vicodele tend to be sparsely populated. They do not have the rich agricultural potential of The Lakecountry, the natural resources of The Gradr Highlands, or natural ports such as Tippor City or Vamman Bay.
The largest cities in the region are the twin cities of East Bank (Vicodele) and West Bank (Nijkum) which sit at the mouth of the Niawood River delta.
Grasslanders never assimilated into the The Ruvian Empire the same way other regions did. They do however practice many of the Ruvian traditions and language.
Geography
This region tends to be dryer with less cloud cover than the The Lakecountry. Low hills can serve as navigation aids in the otherwise featureless landscape. The savannah becomes thick forest towards the south.
Natural Resources
This region sees irregular water flow, which makes agriculture difficult. There are no great mines in the region, though minor veins are sometimes exploited.
