West Bank
A trading city in the The Duchy of Grudaal of The Kingdom of Nijkum. West Bank is twin city of East Bank in the Kingdom of Vicodele. The two sit across the Niawood River from each other. Numerous bridges connect them, though both maintain separate town councils, guilds, and customs.
They both sit near The Jucora Depths and occasionally do trade with the Elves (Jungle Elves) who live there. Though sea trade does occur here, the port cannot handle huge trading vessels like those of Tippor City or Vamman Bay.
The political situation between Vicodele and Nijkum is sometimes tense. In the occasional times of war, the citizens of The Banks have traditionally agreed to local peace agreements.
Government
A town council of traders, religious leaders, and landowners governs the town. The town is not a Free City and owes fealty to Duchy of Grudaal. The dukes have historically been hands off with the city, though they maintain high taxes on it.
Industry & Trade
Sea trade occurs, but is limited by the small port size and nearby Sea of Aekelon. River and overland trade is also common.
Infrastructure
Wooden bridges span The Niawood River and connect it to East Bank.
Architecture
Wood from the surrounding forests are commonly used. There are no nearby quarries.
