Landgraviate of Wurdalia

The Landgraviate of Wurdalia is a very distinct Blazennian polity, its history being unlike the rest. Wurdalis stems from the lapse in West Fraspikan hegemony over the Blazennian tribes during the distraction caused by the centaur invasion. For many years South Fraspika had ensured that the various tribes never posed a major threat to their borders by invading, assassinating rulers, and dividing them as much as possible. Any leader who looked to be a threat would be cut down, at least after West Fraspika assumed dominance over Blazennia in 1140. However, with their attention diverted, some tribes were able to assert control over their neighbors. Wurdalia is one such case, but is also the only case in which that tribe joined the Blazennian Empire immediately upon its formation, granting it the title of Landgraviate and the authority to control the northern reaches of the young Empire. They completely failed at this, and eventually the other tribes were pacificed by the Emperors, netting Wurdalia limited lands
Wurdalia was neutral during the Blazennian Civil war, but lost its seat nonetheless. With the northern Empire now having no checks against the strength of the Kingdom of Mäzgyrazrfold, they are very easy to strongarm.
