Saltmoat
Saltmoat is a port town at the heart of a prosperous archipelago off the south eastern coast of Punjuki. It is currently part of the Trans-Oceanic Empire.
History
Before the Planar Conformation there was only a tiny fishing village where the town now stands. On the 5th of Findil, 325 APC, the House of Traders opened here, and this is now generally recognised as the true foundation of the modern settlement.
Saltmoat grew to prominence at the beginning of the age of the Water Kingdoms when King Kleyth the Great declared himself to be their king. The town was now the capital of a regional power that included Pun island and the rapidly expanding settlement of Stalport on the mainland. Saltmoat acted as a trading hub and market place for these locations and served as a waypoint on longer distance sea routes further to the north and south.
