Gasloid Language - Silicon Gas Expulsion

Use on Gasloid Homeworld

The native Gasloid language does not have an official name, as the Gasloids view it as part of their natural state of being. It is merely how they silently communicate and bond with each other. It is a non-verbal form of communication that is expressed through the expelling of small amounts of their own silicon gas forms and exchanging them with each other in order to communicate.   This is not a standard language so concepts like conversations, sentences, alphabets, etc. are completely foreign to Gasloids who have not left their homeworlds and have been encouraged to learn "noise-based" forms of communications as they like to call them.   The Gasloid language is conducted by puffing out small bits of their silicon gas forms towards another Gasloid with whom they wish to commune with, which the receiving Gasloid can then inhale or incorporate into their being and instantly understand what is being conveyed to them. Whether that is a thought, an emotion, an idea, etc. It is essentially the same process for Gasloids that are currently intermingling with each other, as Gasloids often occupy the same space as one another whilst on their homeworlds.   This form of communication is completely unique to the Gasloids, and no other species communicates exactly how they do. The closest form of communication is with the Koralians who use a form of sprayed spore cloud to communicate with each other in shallow water and on-land.

Off-world Use

It is rare for a Gasloid to be able to communicate using their native gas-based expressions once they are off-world, as only other Gasloids can interpret their meanings. As such, almost all Gasloids will use vocalizers attached as modifications to their Life Sustainment Suits in order to communicate with other species. And will learn whichever "noise-based" languages they must in order to communicate with people.   Though they often have a hard time doing so, as they don't frequently understand the concept of things like sentences, alphabets, pronunciation, or even the difference between written and spoken language. The Gasloids simply do not have those things on their homeworld. So, they frequently speak in short and blunt fashions and don't carry on long conversations with people.   However, on the occasion in which two or more Gasloids travel together, they can communicate with each other using their gaseous forms similar to how they would in their home world.   They can do so by letting slip small wisps of their gaseous forms from their suits and allowing them to waft into an open port of the receiving Gasloids suit. The effects aren't as strong as they would be on their homeworld, but it is a much-preferred method of communication for Gasloids off-world. Despite being stricken by wanderlust they do often miss the communal nature of their homes and often seek comfort in communicating with each other in this way when they meet with other Gasloids off-world.
Summary
Gasloids communicate using puffs of their gaseous form to express their surface-level thoughts and emotions to other Gasloids. This is primarily only a language spoken on Gasloid planets and amongst the relatively small number of space-bound travelling Gasloids of the Delta Space.   Gasloids cannot communicate with other carbon-based lifeforms without the use of a vocalizer attached to their Life Sustainment Suits.
Synthetic Gas Communications Experiment
Whitestar Militech and Signa Pharmaceuticals, two MegaCorporations that have membership in the underground corporate council called the Corporate Guidance Reformation are secretly working on a synthetic form of Silicon Gas that can replicate the Gasloids form of communication for any carbon-based species.   This synthetic gas, and related translation equipment, would allow for a user to program a message that would then be translated into a synthetic gas, and then translated by the receiver into understandable language.   The gas would be silently wafted from one user to another. Both users would be wearing specialized apparatus that would be able to create and/or capture the synthetic gas, translate it, and then either display it on a small ocular screen or vocalize it through wearable headphones.   Thus far the experiments have been unsuccessful with translations not working properly, and instead of useful information being passed silently along awkward and useless non-sequiturs get slurred out instead. But the hope is that one day, this sort of messaging system could be used during covert military operations where being silent is imperative.
