Chieftain Vhib took over as Chieftain for The Lost Tooth Clan after Chieftain Noss Lost Tooth resigned.
While Chieftain, Vhib spent much of his time improving processes that his predecessor's put in place. Expanding upon them and improving them. He is seen to be a gentle person who always looks for alternative ways of doing things. By the time Vhib took over as Chieftain, The Lost Tooth Clan had become extremely close to the nature around them. Even when building their ships, they would only use lumber from trees that had already fallen. They made their towns and village blend into their surroundings. They routes from one village to the other were merely footpaths through the jungle.
Vhib considered having more people study the ancient ruins, but he decided against it. It had been decades and still they were no closer to figuring it out than the day Riks Lost Tooth discovered it. He has resigned to the theory that the statues are just those who live here long before they arrived. The great ancestors of the jungle. Vhib was not too keen on exploring the world as he felt everything they needed was right here in the jungle. Many of the Lost Tooth's felt the same way. They did not see any reason or need to venture away from their hidden sanctuary. They were hidden, they had food, they had water, and they had each other.
One day a messenger arrived in Fozki from The Blackfoot Clan. The messenger told the village elder that he had an important message to deliver to their Chieftain. The elder sent a scout down to Nosru to inform Vhib. Vhib, remember the stories of how the Blackfoots allowed them to pass safely through their territory, returned with the scout to Fozki. He met the messenger and took the letter. After reading it, he folded it and handed it back to the messenger and smiled faintly. He left the room and spent the next couple of days in thought. The messenger spent two days confused and bewildered. The messenger was unsure if he should leave or be insulted... or both. After the two days Vhib returned to the messenger and said, "Tell Nork that the Lost Tooths would be happy to assist in the unification. We are only here because the Blackfoots allowed us to pass safely. Whatever it is he needs, I will be happy to oblige as will every Lost Tooth. He has my full support and I will meet with him wherever he would like."
The villager left heading back to Blackfoot Clan territory and Vhib returned to Nosru. Vhib truly did want to help Nork, but it was the others that he was unsure about. Since moving to the jungle, the Lost Tooths had, for the most part, been out of the conflict. The meeting with all the Chieftains was soon. He trusted Nork, but he did not trust the others. He wanted to be prepared so he took some inspiration from The Bitter Dagger Clan. He had a black smith forge a short sword with the handle made of a large elk's antler. He then had the herbalist gather different types of poisons from the frogs, plants, and snakes in the area to set them to create a deadly poison. He then had a special sheath designed so that it was essentially a sheath inside of a sheath. He had tiny holes made in the inner sheath using the tiny point of a thorn and he then filled the outer sheath with the poison the herbalist created and put the sword in the inner sheath. Do so, every time the sword is drawn, a fresh coat of poison is applied to the blade until the poison runs out. He called the blade Vipers Fang.
He attended the meeting and took the seat next to Nork with his sword at his side. He wasn't sure what to expect. The clans in this room all had hatred for one another for different reasons. He knew the Bitter Daggers especially hated his clan. The meeting went off surprisingly well, without much of an issue besides some bickering among the Chieftains. Vhib remained mostly quiet throughout the meeting, only chiming in when he felt it was needed. He returned back to Nosru after the Unification pact was signed. He informed his clan that the conflict had finally come to an end. He informed the elders of Fozki to expect visitors from other clans as he was sure some would attempt to traverse the jungle.
