Riks Lost Tooth grew up in Pinnahear in The Bitter Dagger Clan. He was a warrior in one of the raiding parties for The Bitter Dagger Clan. He worked is way up to leading his own raiding party and enjoyed life in the clan territory. He focused his efforts into hoping to become the next Chieftain of The Bitter Dagger Clan.
Once word spread that Erto Bitter Dagger had orchestrated the assassination of Yiltzak Blackfoot he had become ashamed to be a Bitter Dagger. He was not the only one feeling this way. At this time, there were several rumors of a rebellion to force Erto Bitter Dagger out of the position of Chieftain. Everyone respected Yiltzak Blackfoot, whether they agreed with him or not. Riks quickly realized that it was likely the rebellion would just remain a rumor unless someone stepped up to lead it.
He began to gather the other kobolds that felt the same as he did and organize them. Erto Bitter Dagger was scheduled to speak to the clan in Pinnahear regarding the situation with the Blackfoots and Riks so this as a chance for him and his followers to act. They attended the gathering with several of his followers, including himself, grabbing spots at the front of the crowd. The rest of his followers mixed themselves throughout the crowd to serve as a controlling point for when Riks acted. He allowed Erto give the bulk of his speech. He listened as Erto claimed that Yiltzak's death was necessary to preserve the honor of the clan and even blamed Yiltzak for his own death.
As Erto was nearing the end of his speech, Riks gave the signal and they stormed the stage. They managed to catch Erto completely off-guard. People in the crowd panicked, thinking that one of the other clans had infiltrated their town. Once they saw that is was Riks and fellow Bitter Daggers, their panic turned to confusion. Erto protested their interruption loudly but Riks quickly pushed Erto down on his knees. In front of the confused crowd, Riks proclaimed Erto a disgrace to the clan, a disgrace to all Kobolds, and worst of all, a coward. With a swift swing of his sword to the back of Erto's neck, his reign as Chieftain ended. The crowd panicked again and fled the scene.
Riks used the confusion to get his followers out of Pinnahear and Bitter Dagger territory knowing that they would now be hunted. He crossed the border into The Blackfoot Clan territory and was almost immediately stopped. He told the Blackfoot defense force what happened and asked to be taken to the current Chieftain. They escorted him and his followers to Ashen Town where he met with Chieftain Qrap Blackfoot. He recounted what happened in Pinnahear and stated that they only wanted to pass safely through the Blackfoot's territory to find a home. They each renounced their Bitter Dagger clan right there in front of Qrap.
Qrap granted them safe passage and Riks took his follower south into the unexplored area of Nilrodhi. Their travels were safe, they did receive some dirty looks, but thanks to the Blackfoot escorts, they were left alone. As they moved further south, they eventually left the Blackfoot territory and, after a few days of travel, they were greeted by a dense jungle as the desert slowly faded away. All of his followers were shocked at this new environment. Once in the jungle, they began to travel east and eventually Riks founded the village of Fozki. Fozki served as the capital for the new Lost Tooth clan, but Riks wanted to explore further.
After ensuring that his followers were setup in Fozki, he took a few with him and began to explore further south. He came across ancient ruins deep in the jungle that caught his attention. Here established Nosru and declared it as the capital. He sent scouts back to Fozki to inform the others and had a team start working on making an actual path back to Fozki instructing them to do their best not to disturb anything along the way. While setting up Nosru, he found a baby hawk left abandoned in a nest. He adopted it and took care of it and raised it. He named it Siss and the two were inseparable. Siss was always perched on his shoulder or flying overhead.
Much of his time as Chieftain was spent studying the ancient ruins. There were statues of these humanoids that resembled ruins and each had a smaller statue next to them of different types of animals. This site fascinated him and consumed all of his time. He neglected a lot of his duties as Chieftain to instead spend time at the ruins.
He resigned from Chieftain in year -82BU after realizing that he was failing in his duties. He felt ashamed that he had failed as a Chieftain but the rest of his clan adored him and assured him that he wasn't a failure. Because of him, they have a new home surrounded by animals and trees and water.
He passed away at the ancient ruins in year -50BU at the age of 68. It is not clear what he died of. When villagers arrived at the site one morning, they found him on the ground dead by one of the statues. Some say that he died of exhaustion from spending all his time at the site, while others say that some poisonous animal must have bit him or stung him. Siss was perched on top of the statue cawing as the villagers approached. Once they buried Riks, Siss could always be found around his burial site.
