The Grand Auditor

Grand Auditors are a specialized group of financial investigators, whose job it is to ensure every contract is being followed to its fullest.

Starting from discovering if a contract is firstly valid, they begin an investigation and all parties are called in for a 'questioning'.

These are a series of once-off questions.

This process takes seven days with new questions being asked every time until on the 8th day the verdict is given by three authorities. An auditor, a judge or at the highest level, a Sage.

Qualifications

There's a grand auditor test, which is a combination field and written test.

Once you pass, the get the Grand Auditor test certificate. You then have free range to choose your cases and which Bureau, army or judge you want to work for.

Appointment

Appointment is very simple: You give your certificate to a judge and then you’re activated and will start earning money, be provided national funding and a yearly budget, controlled by judges. But this is the second phase. The first phase is the field and mental tests to determine what you qualify for.

Duties

The duties of most, if not all, is de-escalation and settling conflicts that appear to have no answer. As long as the Sages are not involved then, the judges help put in the work to maintain order. Order is defined as the continual flow of the needs of Ethuthuku, ie the country comes first.

Responsibilities

Their grand duty is of course to deal with all escalating disputes across the national territories that might impede the running of Enthutuku as a whole.

Benefits

The money is incredible as they're given multiple salaries.

The first as a family stipend, money given to family, in the name of safety.

Second is a travelling salary to ensure safe travel across the Black Thorne.

The Judge's salary are benefits, designed to keep you wherever you are.

Then finally there's both sets of budgets you are given to work by the Sages.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

One cannot be fired from the title of Grand Auditor. No matter what, one can only be killed or die of old age. The rank is so high, the need to obtain the truth is so high, that to break that trust and be found guilty means death, but even in death you hold the title. This isn't unique to them.

One cannot retire either.
