The era before any of the civilizations that rule Terratos today was present is known as the First Era. During this time period, the lands were dominated by dragons and other monstrosities. The First Era is considered to be the longest-lasting of all eras, having lasted for 24.000 years.

This uprising drives the Elves away from Ethonia and this also causes the Dwarves from Norheimsk and the Ashens from The Dead Frontier to do the same. The world is now divided into four distinct countries.

Any sign of wielding Magicka or harboring someone who wields Magicka is now punishable by death.
