Human-Elf War
Growing tired from their Elven oppressors, Humans rise up and take arms against their Elven overlords and learn to use their Magicka against them.
The Conflict
Prelude
After centuries of being oppressed by Elves, Humans decide to rise up and take back their lands.
Deployment
In the first years of the conflict, the Human uprising only consists of some ragtag soldiers that pose little to no threat to the Elves, who defeat them with ease. As years go on, the Human resistance gets more and more organized and they manage to rally increasingly more Humans to their cause.
At this point, the Human military consists of standard footmen, heavy infantry and cavalry.
The Elves, on the other hand, had access to a battle-hardened army that could deal with the insurrections with ease. The Elven militia deployed units like infantry, rangers, archers, mages and even siege equipment.
Battlefield
Humans get their first victory when they liberate the villages located on the Island of Erlia. Even managing to capture a number of Elven mages. Through these mages, Humans are able to learn to control the Magicka that is within them. Though them having less affinity with Magicka than their Elven counterparts, they still manage to use it to great effect, allowing them to gain an upper hand in most battles since the Humans also happen to know the terrain better than the Elves, so they use this to their advantage.
Conditions
Humans had only one goal, which was to drive the Elves away from their lands. To achieve this victory, it was of paramount importance that the Citadel would fall, but this also happens to be the most well-defended fortress in the entire Elven Civilisation.
The Elves would consider themselves victorious when all Humans were dealt with.
The Engagement
Especially in the early years of the war, large scale battles were very rare and most of the engagements were minor skirmishes over small territories. It was only when the Humans started to liberate entire villages that the Elves would recognize the size of this threat and throw everything they have at the Human insurgents.
After the Humans managed to secure the Citadel, the Elves would continuously attempt to recapture the city and siege it for a total of twelve times. After the twelfth defeat, the Elves count their losses and decide to retreat back to their own land.
Outcome
Aftermath
After the Dwarves and Ashens also manage to overcome the Elves, the three come together to form the Empire to unite themselves against any potential future Elven invasions.
The actions of the Elven civilization has also planted lots of hate towards the use of Magicka which eventually led to a plot to make the use of Magicka effectively illegal through the Great Reformation.
Historical Significance
Legacy
